Although there were several apologies, those members present enjoyed the May meeting with interesting and varied subjects discussed and voted upon. As this was our AGM and also discussion of the resolution on organ discussion to be debated at the AGM in Leeds, we were glad to have Patience Broad present to keep things moving along.

President Pat Crook was not present as she had some pressing family business which needed her presence. For our AGM business, Poppy Morris presented the Secretary's report. It is always amazing when we look back on all we have done in the last 12 months. Treasurer Gwyn Darby presented her report and it was a relief to hear that we are solvent. Reg Snow has been our auditor for many years and we are all sad that he will be leaving the village and moving to Cheshire, so we send him best wishes and thanks. Joint President Marion Cumella gave her report and thanked all who had contributed to a happy and successful year. The committee was returned en-bloc with Pat Crook as President.

After a break for tea and cakes, Patience Broad gave us many interesting facts about organ donation. Over 7000 people need a transplant and three on the waiting list die every day. It is an interesting fact that the UK lags behind most EU countries in signing up to an organ donation register. Members agreed to support the resolution with one voting against.

Patience finished with mention of the Centenary Baton in 2015 and said the WFWI will be having a live link via Palace Theatre Redditch with the Albert Hall on June 14, 2015. Closer to hand and before then, our Elgar Group and the Worcester Group will be having a display at the Guildhall on September 12, more details later.
