WALKERS are being urged to get their boots on this weekend for a festival of the foot.
The Bristol Walking Festival runs across the weekend offering a range of opportunities to get out and about in the scenic south west, as well as the city itself.
Among the attractions is the newly refurbished Thistle Bristol, Grand Hotel, which dates back to the time of south west rail pioneer, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, who designed the Great Western Railway.
Also running this weekend is Mayfest, which runs in the city centre, featuring a range of attractions for foodies and more.
Mark Kelly, General Manager of the Thistle Bristol, Grand Hotel, said: “The city is absolutely buzzing at the moment, there is so much to see when it comes to arts, music and entertainment.
"Hotel rooms have been filling up quickly with the popular urban walking festival this Spring bank holiday weekend, so come and join in the fun.”
