ROYAL Mail says it is delivering a first class service to Worcester residents and businesses.
The recently privatised mail group says in the past year 93.5 per cent of First Class mail arrived at its destination in the WR postcode area the following day, beating its target of 93 per cent.
Royal Mail says it is also beating its Second Class mail targets here with 98.9 per cent of mail being delivered within three days.
“Our people have continued to deliver to a very high standard in the WR postcode area and across the UK, against one of the highest service specifications of any major European country," said Geoff Braden, Royal Mail's operations director.
"I would like to thank our postmen and women for their ongoing commitment and dedication.”
The results were published in the latest Royal Mail Quality of Service report.
