BY HATTIE WALES (aged 12)
Casey Blue dreams. She dreams that one day she will become the champion of the Badminton Horse Trials. That was just a dream up until the one day that changed her life. Do dreams ever come true?
When Casey rescues a half starved, half wild horse and buys him for 1 dollar, she begins to try and achieve something spectacular, something that no-one ever believes will happen. Along with Mrs Smith, her coach, and Storm Warning, the horse, Casey sets out on an unbelievable journey.
But will the consequences of her father’s criminal record and the boy, whom Casey begins to fall in love with, be a problem? You’ll have to read it and find out!
This book is one of my favourite stories of all time. A must read for any girl aged 9+! And, if you enjoy this, then the second and third books of the trilogy are just as good.
This book was published by Orion Childrens and is available to buy for £6.99. It can also be borrowed from The Hive as well as other Worcestershire libraries. Click here to check availability and check it out.
