RESIDENTS from a road in the Blackpole area of Worcester really love the blues, according to ticket sales for a popular festival.
More people living in Astwood Road have attended Blues at the Fold - which returns to Bransford, near Worcester, on Saturday, July 5 - than anywhere else.
Now in its sixth year, organisers of the festival are inviting residents of Astwood Road who come along to this year's festival to enjoy a free drink as a thank you present for their loyal support.
Festival organiser, Oliver Carpenter, said: "Its amazing how many people have come from such a short road over the years and we are very grateful for their support.
"We've also had people from Belmont Road, Vauxhall Street and Tunnel Hill, all of which are adjoining Astwood Road, book tickets so there must be something in the water round there."
But its not just locals that are attracted to the one-day event held at The Fold, with tickets for the 2014 instalment having already been bought from as far afield as Kent, Tyne and Wear and Pembrokeshire.
Mr Carpenter added: "The 2014 festival is going to be great with six terrific bands from all over the country, excellent food and drink supplied by The Fold, and its all held undercover whatever the weather so hopefully we will repeat last year's sell-out event."
The 2014 line up are all regulars on the UK festivals circuit, including Bo Walker & the Mescal Canyon Troubadours, Vincent Flatts Final Drive, Tommy Allen & Johnny Hewitt - The Blues Duo, Steve Morrison, Mumbo-Jumbo and finishing with a party set from old soul specialists, the Official Receivers.
Tickets for the festival, which runs from 2pm to 11pm, are £13 in advance, and children's discounts and camping are available.
