A MAN is warning people to be vigilant after a rug was stolen from the back of his horse near Droitwich.
Norman Wright, aged 78, who lives behind the Swan Inn, Martin Hussingtree, wants to warn other horse owners after his blue WeatherBeeta horse rug was stolen from his horse in the field.
The theft of the rug, worth £60, happened between 10pm on Wednesday and 7am today (Thursday).
It follows a similar theft of a blue lightweight combi Shire rug worth £70 taken from the back of a horse in a yard off Pulley Lane, near Droitwich, between 9.30pm and 10pm on March 30.
Mr Wright, who owns two horses, said: "It's funny they took it, it's the time of year when you normally take the rugs off.
"I would like to warn other people. I just want people to look out a bit more."
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
