TEAMS of friends and work colleagues are being invited to take to the water and sign up for the 24th annual Dragon Boat Race in Worcester.
Organised by the Worcester Dragons, this year's event takes place on the River Severn on Sunday, June 8 at Worcester Racecourse with proceeds going to charity.
Last year's event, which attracted 22 teams, was hailed one of the best ever and raised about £6,000 for St Richard's Hospice.
Craig Cliff, race co-odinator, said he had already had enquiries from solicitors and a bank and even Your Worcester News.
"It's getting popular," he said. "Last year it went fantastically well. Last year we had 22 teams and we seem to be building on that each year.
"It's team building, enjoyable, fun and wet. It's a good environment. Everybody on the day is there for the same reason, to raise money for charity.
"It's a fantastic day. We're hoping to get as many people as we can involved."
Teams of 16 are invited to sign up. For details visit worcester-dragons.org.uk and follow the link for 'Get Involved'. People can also call Mr Cliff on 07581 087040.
