PEOPLE in Worcester have been doing their bit to reduce waste by repairing and swapping clothes.
The swishing and repair event, which was held at the Pump House Environment Centre in Gheluvelt Park and organised by Worcestershire County Council, will take place every month in a bid to stop people throwing away so many clothes.
Roisin Hanks, project manager, said the first event, which took place on Saturday, March 22, went very well.
"We had both the swishing side of things and the teaching people how to sew side," she said. "It went very well. We are hoping next time people will find more stuff they like to take away.
"We are hoping to hold the event every month culminating at the August Show, then we will see if we are able to continue after that."
