A LUCKY winner is set to drive away with a brand new car after entering the annual St Richard's Hospice raffle for just £1.
Thousands of people have snapped up tickets over the last few months to be in with the chance of winning the Mazda CX-5 and have raised nearly £41,000 for the charity.
The winning ticket number 227354 was drawn today (Monday) in the event supported by Edwards Motors, Kempsey and sponsored by Halls Chartered Surveyors and Property Consultants, Worcester, and Worcester Racecourse.
Lizzie Brazier, St Richard's fundraiser, said: "We are really thrilled with how many people supported us by buying raffle tickets, particularly in this, our 30th anniversary.
"It's lovely to be able to make someone's day when we call them to tell them they have won."
Tickets from the raffle will help raise funds for St Richard's care of patients and their families living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
