A NEW weekly walking group has been launched in a Worcester suburb.
The Warndon Walkers will meet every Thursday at the Warndon Community Centre on Shap Drive, Warndon.
Each walk will be free of charge and take about 45 minutes to complete.
"The walk is a great way to make some new friends on your doorstep, and to get some exercise as part of a relaxed, welcoming group,” says event organiser Deborah Merrick from Worcester City Council.
There is no need to book, but walkers are being encouraged to turn up ten minutes early on the day to register. They should also wear sturdy footwear and outdoor clothes.
The walk reflects a similar group in neighbouring Warndon Villages which meets at Lyppard Grange Community Centre and regularly attracts about 20 people.
