A NINEETH Century pub in Tenbury Wells is back on the market two years after being restored to its former glory.

After renovating the dilapidated Talbot Inn at Newnham Bridge in March 2011, owner, Ian Dowling has decided to call time on the pub to pursue other business interests.

He said: “We are seeing this change as a platform to move forward. We have got our family business to focus on so we have decided to give someone else the opportunity to dedicate more time to the pub.

“It is a great business for someone very hands on.”

The former coaching inn, which is well known to travellers for its location on a key junction of the A443, received success after a complete renovation lasting more than a year.

The overhaul transformed the derelict shell into a 90-seat gastro pub with seven bedrooms and a decked beer garden near to the river.

The restored inn is on the market with sector specialists Colliers International for £695,000 freehold.
