YOUNG people who have not yet got their applications in the join the West Mercia Police Cadets have an extra two weeks.
The deadline has been moved from Sunday, April 6, to Sunday, April 20, to give more people the chance to apply.
Sergeant Alex Warner, Police Cadets co-ordinator, said the deadline was extended so busy year 11's who were preparing for GCSE's and applying to colleges had the chance to get their application in.
Units operate in Telford and Wrekin, Herefordshire, north Worcestershire, Shropshire and south Worcestershire and meet every Thursday night from 6pm to 9pm.
During their two-year programme the cadets will take part in a variety of activities, including self-defence training, marching, fitness, and role playing, as well as taking part in team building and Outward Bounds weekends, and will benefit from speakers and taking part in community policing events.
