A WIDESCALE search for a vulnerable missing person that stretched into hours ended when the person was found safe and well.
Concerns about the male were raised at about 11.30am yesterday (Friday) and the search centred on Pershore Bridge.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police said they were treated by a crew from the West Midlands Ambulance Service at about 6.30pm the same day and then the incident was passed to West Midlands Police because the person was from their force area.
The search had sparked dramatic scenes, with the police being well represented at the scene, on the B4084, with a number of vehicles in attendance.
Crews from the West Midlands Ambulance Service and from the Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance as a search was carried out in the area.
A spokesman for West Mercia Police confirmed the initial call came in about a “concern for safety”.

Eye witness reports said police, ambulance and fire crews were all at the location along with rescue boats and specialist equipment.
