FRIENDS and work colleagues can team up to do something really fun this summer.
They can join the annual It's a Knockout! event run by Children Today at Crown Meadow, Evesham on Sunday , June 15, with enjoyable games, mostly involving dressing up in silly costumes or getting very wet and covered in foam, based on the TV series of the same name.
Teams of seven to 10 people aged 16 and over can enter and then raise sponsorship funds for the charity to help children and young people with disabilities get the vital specialised equipment they need.
Ruth Thompson of Children Today said: “Not only will you be having great fun and a really enjoyable day but you’ll be making a real difference as the sponsorship money you raise will be going towards the purchase of specially-adapted equipment for disabled children.”
Children Today provides grants to buy specialised equipment such as individually adapted electric wheelchairs, walking aids, trikes, specially designed educational toys, adapted car seats, a wide range of communication aids, lifting and posturepaedic sleep equipment.
