A SUPERMARKET employee had a hair raising experience to mark the anniversary of a charity partnership.
Ryan Sowney of Tesco St Peter's non-food department agreed to let Christine Johnson from the store's customer service desk shave his head during the Let Your Hair Down event organised to celebrate the chain supporting Diabetes UK for one year.
The event was organised by the store's community champion, Joanne Jenkins, along with services manager Joanne Pitt and the community team, and together they have raised more than £500 for the cause.
Diabetes UK is the leading charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns on behalf of every person affected by or at risk of diabetes.
They provide information, help and peer support, so people with diabetes can manage their condition effectively and they are one of the largest funders of diabetes research in the UK.
