SOME of Worcestershire's schools will partially close next week when some teachers walk out on strike.
The strike is planned for Wednesday, March 26 and involves members of the National Union for Teachers.
In Worcester, only reception and year 4 will be open at St Clement's Primary School in Henwick Road, St John's, while 14 classes at Regency High School, Carnforth Drive, Warndon, will be affected. Three others will remain as normal.
Also partially closed is Kempsey Primary School, which will be closed to students in Ash, Cedar and Willow classes only. All other classes will operate as normal.
The Chase School in Malvern will be closed to students in years 7, 8, 9 and 10. However, students in years 11, 12 and 13 should attend as normal.
While Fladbury CE First school, near Evesham, will be shut to children in years 1 and 2.

The strike action was announced over teachers' concerns about pay, pensions, jobs and workload.
The NUT says teachers are demoralised and faced unacceptably long working hours and the prospect of having to pay more into pensions and work for longer to receive them.
Last month, Christine Blower, general secretary of the National Union of Teachers, said: “Two in five teachers are leaving the profession within five years due to intolerable workload pressures, performance related pay, increased pensions contributions and working until 68.
"Our concerns have to be addressed if a crisis in teacher supply is to be avoided."
Another teaching union NASUWT recently pulled out of the strike.
