THERE will be a challenge of a different kind for a marathon runner who has vowed to give up being blonde for St Richard's Hospice.
Lynda Broadway, aged 50, will be thinking pink after she decided to switch her hair colour to the shade as part of the charity's Give it up! 30 day challenge.
Already turning heads, the self-employed sales executive said: ‘I am fundraising for St Richard’s because it has helped many of my friends’ family members a great deal in the last few months of their lives."
A keen runner and social secretary for Malvern Joggers Club, she is also competing in the Worcester marathon in aid of the hospice.
The mother-of-two is always up for a challenge and regularly runs in races with her partner, Mike Anstey, covering distances up to 52 miles.
She has recently run the Rhyader 20 mile race and is taking on the Liverpool half marathon on Sunday, March 23.
