A WORCESTER-BASED leukaemia charity is inviting students looking for an internship to apply for an opportunity in its fundraising department.
National blood cancer charity Leukaemia CARE, which is based off Blackpole Road, has a position available to university students studying a sandwich year course looking for a placement for the year in industry portion of their course.
The 36-week programme, which starts on September 2014, involves working with the fundraising team as well as developing and managing the charity's Student Ambassador Programme.
Current intern Abbie Horton said her time with the charity had been invaluable.
"Knowing I have helped to bring in essential money to the charity is so rewarding and makes me feel as though my year in industry has had a positive impact on people’s lives," she said.
“I have gained first hand experience and developed a plethora of skills that will hopefully set me apart from other graduates when I come to apply for jobs.
"The team at Leukaemia CARE are supportive, friendly and upbeat, which has made the whole experience even more enjoyable.”
