WEST Mercia Police have launched a survey to ask young people how they would like to be involved.

The ten questions will give police a better picture of how schoolchildren and those aged between 11 and 18 would like to communicate with them, how they receive information and their involvement in tackling local issues.

Superintendent Kevin Purcell said: “This survey is a chance for young people to tell us how we can improve and tailor our services and give them the opportunity to make a positive difference to how we do things in the future.

“We know that young people are very up to date with modern media using the most up to date means of communication. We want them to help decide how we are going to engage with them. That way we have a much better chance of getting it right.”

Copies of the survey will be distributed to senior schools, colleges, youth groups and sports clubs by local policing teams, but it can also be completed online at surveymonkey.com/s/N7FM6VT until April 30.

One lucky person who takes the survey will also be in with a chance of winning £100 for completing it.
