DANCEFEST has been announced as the lead organisation in the West Midlands for the country's biggest celebration of all types of dance.
The dance development organisation for Worcestershire and Herefordshire is currently working with lots of its groups to create performances for Big Dance on Friday, May 16.
People across the world will be taking part in this year’s Big Dance Pledge, created in partnership with Scottish Ballet and Get Scotland Dancing, which celebrates all types of dance for any age or ability.
Some will be full performances while others will take place in school assemblies and during lunch breaks.
All the events will be part of a blog updated throughout the day.
To get involved, join one of the Dancefest classes who are working on a dance for the Pledge or the organisation could come into a school, community centre or workplace to teach a dance.
Moves can also be taught online at bigdance.org.
Dancefest is also working with colleagues from across the region to organise events for Big Dance Week, which runs from July 5 to 13 and will also be celebrating the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
