A PEDESTRIAN has been killed after he was hit by a car in Pershore on Friday night.
The incident occurred on the B4080 Worcester Road just before 10.50pm.
An ambulance crew, a paramedic officer, a paramedic in a rapid response car together with the Medical Emergency Response Incident Team (MERIT) treated the patient.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Ambulance crews arrived to find a pedestrian had been in collision with a car. A man, believed to be in his fifties, was treated for serious head and internal injuries."
The patient was was anaesthetised by a doctor and immobilised before being conveyed to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham, but subsequently died.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101, asking to speak to PC 3955 Gimber and citing incident number 820s/140314.
