TWO men have been arrested on suspicion of theft and six catalytic converters were seized following a spot check on the M5.
The car was stopped by police on the M5 between junctions eight and seven following a stop check at 12.40pm today. Six catalytic converters, suspected of being stolen, were seized.
A spokesman for police confirmed they arrested two males in their thirties on suspicion of theft. Inspector Steph Brighton, who leads on the catalytic converter theft, urged the public to remain vigilant. The next marking event is on the Saturday, March 29 between 10am and 2pm at The Cob House, Wichenford. Supt Mark Travis described the arrests as a 'a great result' on Twitter. He said: "Op Urban is making a difference."
