SPECIAL constables have been enforcing speed limits in Pershore, Broadway and Lenchwick in a bid to try and save lives.
Working within safer neighbourhood teams in Wychavon, the officers spent 20 hours of work dealing with more than 200 motorists with positive results towards casualty reduction efforts across the area.
PC David Shortell said: “Their dedication to enforcing speed limits, and therefore reducing casualties, is inspirational to all.
"By carrying out this work, they are making our roads safer for all those who use them.”
Anna Higgins, communications manager at the Safer Roads Partnership, said: “Speed enforcement work carried out by special constables strengthens and supports the commitment by the force to continue to reduce casualties and collisions on our roads.”
