A PHOTO has been released of a Worcester soldier who gave his life for his country in the First World War an effort to track down his descendants.
Thomas Rea was born in 1889 in the Claines area of the city and enlisted with B Squadron, 11th (Prince Albert's Own) Hussars, First Cavalry Brigade, First Cavalry Division on the outbreak of war but was killed in Belgium on June 7 1917 aged 28.
A roll of honour is being written for those who served in the squadron during the war and anyone who is descended from Thomas Rea or has any more information about him is asked to contact David Easton on 07896 201 176 or husrollho@yahoo.co.uk
