A PRIME time documentary will go behind the scenes of Prince Harry's expedition to the South Pole with a team of injured British service personnel.
The two-part feature, entitled Harry's South Pole Heroes, will follow the adventures of the Virgin Money South Pole Allied Challenge 2013 and it will be aired on ITV on Sunday, March 16 and Sunday, March 23 at 8pm.
After four weeks, 200km and a gruelling battle against the harsh elements of Antarctica, the three teams reached the South Pole on Friday, December 13 2013, a momentous occasion and for those who took part it was an emotional step in their road since injury.
Among those in Team Glenfiddich with the Prince was amputee Major Kate Philp, aged 35, from Knightwick, near Worcester, who lost her leg below the knee while serving in Afghanistan in November 2008.
The first episode introduces the heir to the throne and the injured British service personnel as well as highlighting their intensive training regime, which included spending a night in a specialised cold chamber normally used for testing vehicles.
Harry's South Pole Heroes will give an insight into the team members' traumatic experiences and their determination to overcome life-changing injuries and complete the challenge.
