THIS is the dramatic moment a car was engulfed in flames in Evesham.
The picture was taken by 15-year-old Harry Beevis following the blaze in Greenhill, Evesham, after 1.30pm on Saturday. He said: "The car was seen by me, my parents and other witnesses blazing with fire. I took the chance to take some pictures on my phone of the car engulfed with flames and with the fire fighters extinguishing it." A spokesman for Hereford and Worcester Fire Control said they had several calls about the fire at 1.37pm on Saturday. Two hose reels and two breathing apparatus were used by an Evesham crew. The fire was brought under control by 2.49pm. The cause of the fire is not known but it was described as 'well alight' by the time firefighters arrived.
Police had to direct traffic in Evesham during the car fire near the train station.
The fire control room has received 11 calls from the public about the blaze in the diesel car.
