WHILE runners pull on their trainers, businesses are being asked to support the 2014 Acorns Triple Run by becoming corporate sponsors.
The organisers of the event are offering businesses a selection of packages for the annual event which is taking place this year on Sunday, June 22 at the Three Counties Showground.
New sponsors will join Rybrook BMW Worcester, sportswear Company ASICS and The King’s School, Worcester which have already signed up to help support the event which raises money for Acorns Children's Hospice.
Organisers are also hoping to hear from companies who can help to supply them with barriers, traffic cones, bottled water and cereal bars.
The Triple Run consists of three courses - the 1km Fun Run, the 5km Woodland Trail and the Malvern Half Marathon.
Shujea Khatun, the hospice’s major events officer, said: “We are very keen to hear from organisations which would like to find out more about becoming a corporate sponsor.
"We are also in need of organisations which can lend to us barriers and traffic cones, or donate water and cereal bars.
“Acorns Children's Hospice doesn’t charge families for making use of its services, regardless of the ever increasing costs involved.
"We rely heavily on public fundraising and voluntary donations from events such as the Triple Run to provide us with the majority of the funding we need to operate.”
