A PERFORMANCE of Handel's Messiah will take place at St Stephen’s Church, Barbourne, Worcester on Saturday, March 22.
Philomusica will return to the church to perform Handel’s great oratorio from 7.30pm.
Conductor Linda Parsons said: “Messiah has become an inseparable part of the British preparation for Christmas.
"Yet, in truth, it is much more than a Christmas work.
"Arguably, a performance of Messiah is at least as appropriate around Eastertide.
"In fact, Handel’s great masterpiece can enrich performers and listeners at any time of the year."
The organist will be Simon Bertram.
Tickets for the concert cost £8 (free admission for accompanied children under 16) and are available from Lyn Rimell on 01905 820140, from tickets@philomusica.org.uk or on the door.
