A BUSINESS based in Bretforton has won a prestigious national award for the second time.
Vicarage Nurseries won ‘Soft Fruit Grower of the Year’ at the national Grower of the Year Awards, which took place last week. They also won the award in 2012.
Chris Brooks, regeneration manager for Wychavon said “This is tremendous news for Vicarage Nurseries and I was only too happy to write a letter of recommendation for this award. It’s also great news for the area and will shine a national spotlight on the district. Vicarage Nurseries is one of the 52 businesses featured in our book – Grow in Wychavon, so we’re very familiar with their business and its success.”
Bal Padda, Commercial Director from Vicarage Nurseries said “We’re thrilled to win this award again. The business is built on the strong philosophies of Makhan Padda who started the business. His beliefs are good relationships, trust, high quality, investing in people and reinvesting in the local community.”
Vicarage Nurseries employs over 300 seasonal workers every year.
