CENTRE STAGE

CHRIS JAEGER OF WORCESTER LIVE

WELL one moment you're rushing around like a lunatic trying to buy your presents and your turkey and write all your cards and all the normal Christmas stuff - my highlights included shopping in Tesco at 2.30am, getting to bed at 4am and then being at the butcher's for 7am to pick up the turkey - and the next moment it's all over. It's difficult not to wonder occasionally if it was all worth it, but I guess it was - I'd miss all the hassle if it wasn't there.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs finishes tomorrow. It has been a runaway success for the Swan Theatre - record sales, and a huge number of positive comments from happy customers. It is unbelievably satisfying to co-write and produce something that everybody loves - a big thank you to my co-writer and director Paul Milton, a wonderfully talented man. Next year, it is Aladdin, and unbelievably, tickets are already on sale, discounted until the end of January. I wonder if we can claim the record for the first Christmas 2007 thing to go on sale!

Only a couple of days until New Year's Eve. I'm busy getting ready to see how quickly I can break all my new year good intentions. The annual chocolate one normally only lasts until about lunchtime on the 1st! A very happy and prosperous new year to all readers of Centre Stage.
