A TEAM of youngsters from a school near Worcester are riding high after a successful performance in national equestrian championships.
The four-strong group of Emma Graham, Emily Archer, Mia Corrie and Thomas Kitson from Abberley Hall School at Great Witley took part in the National Schools Equestrian Association competition in Buckinghamshire.
They finished sixth overall with more than 70 teams taking part.
“This is a brilliant achievement, especially as our pupils were amongst the youngest, being only 12-years-old,” said Cecilia Dean, a science teacher at Abberley who coached the young riders.
“Our stables and ménage (at Abberley School) are increasingly popular with children who can keep their ponies here and enjoy the safe routes around our grounds, as well as receiving lessons in riding and stable management from qualified riding instructors,” the teacher added.
