CHILDREN at a village primary school learnt about attitudes to disability and how to combat bullying as part of antibullying week.
Kevin Ogborne of disability discrimination organisation Just Different visited Broadheath CE Primary School in Lower Broadheath to run workshops with pupils.
Headteacher Susan Bennett said Mr Ogborne – who is confined to a wheelchair due to spina bifida – had worked with the children to challenge their attitudes to disability.
“He showed them that there’s still a lot you can do with a disability and how children can help in that,” she said.
“They also learnt about different types of bullying and how they can keep themselves safe.
“The older children learnt about staying safe on the internet as well.”
