TWO men have appeared in court after police raided an address in a Worcestershire town and seized a quantity of heroin.
Janis Ozolins, 27, of Fownhope Close, Winyates, and Kamaro Dixon, 24, of Oak Tree Avenue, both in Redditch, appeared before Worcester magistrates on Saturday, January 4, charged with possessing heroin with intent to supply.
They were remanded in custody to appear at Worcester Crown Court for a plea hearing on April 14.
Both men were arrested on Thursday, January 2, shortly after a search warrant obtained under the Misuse of Drugs Act was executed at a flat in Fownhope Close. Officers seized heroin which was found in a bag.
The warrant was sought as part of a new West Mercia Police and Warwickshire Police strategy which is designed to continue tackling the impact of drugs on individuals and neighbourhoods, reduce crime associated with drug use and make communities feel safer.
