A CATHEDRAL choir made up of girls from around Worcestershire joined forces with chart-toppers G4 for a sell-out Christmas concert in Worcester on Saturday.
The event, held in Worcester Cathedral, was a double celebration for the youngsters, who are the first girls allowed to sing alongside boys in the cathedral's 1,000 year history.
G4, who perform a repertoir of classical, operatic and modern music, found fame whenthey became runners up in last year's ITV's singing competition - X-Factor.
The concert was the final one being performed in the run-up to Christmas by the group - who wowed UK television audiences with their traditional style of music.
The 18-strong girls choir, made up of 13 to 18 year olds, performed their own piece before joining the band to sing a selection of Christmas carols.
The youngsters featured in the Worcester News on Saturday, saying they were excited to be performing with the stars. As soon as the tickets went on sale for the cathedral concert they were snapped up in record time.
