A WORCESTER singer is setting his sights high after being discovered on MySpace.com.
Kevin Slade (aka Kevin Jon) has been writing and producing music for the past six years.
Only recently did the 26-year-old from Worcester start to write lyrics and sing along to his music.
After turning his basement into a makeshift nightclub and performing his songs for a select group of friends Kevin was inspired to throw himself head first into a music career by setting up a MySpace account.
The MySpace website has helped launch the careers of dozens of artists, including Lily Allen.
It was through the website that local businessman Kevin Savage found Kevin.
Mr Savage is the managing director of the Worcester-based independent record label SavageTrax.com.
As well as signing new artists for public release, SavageTrax.com manages and develops the country's rising talent.
In Kevin, Mr Savage saw huge potential.
He said: "We're quite excited to find such great talent on our doorstep and we have some of the top people in the industry ready to work with us."
Kevin Jon's debut single will be released early in the new year.
