A WOMAN and her teenage daughter were taken to hospital after being involved in a car crash near Malvern.
The two-car shunt happened at 8.50am on Wednesday on the A449 Worcester to Malvern road at Newland.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "A small car had been in collision with the rear of a small 4x4 vehicle as they waited to get on to the A449.
"The woman in the 4x4 was cut free from her vehicle and then taken to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
"A 37-year-old woman in the car was complaining of left shoulder pain and shock. Her daughter, who was about 13 or 14, was shaken."
Earlier this week, the Worcester News reported that a mother and her baby, as well as a second adult, needed hospital treatment after four vehicles were involved in an accident crash on the A449 at Newland.
l Meanwhile, ambulance crews say that they feared the worst when they arrived at the scene of an accident which had left a car in pieces.
The collision between a small car and van happened on the A44 Worcester to Bromyard road between Whitbourne and Knight-wick at 3.45pm on Wednesday.
Emergency medical technician Ken Edwards said: "The car's engine was lying about 20 feet away from the rest of the vehicle and there was wreckage everywhere. The van had also suffered significant damage."
The driver - a 17-year-old local woman - was cut free from the wreckage and taken to Worcester-shire Royal Hospital complaining of neck pain and suffering cuts, bumps and bruises to her face.
"When you consider the level of damage to the car it is extremely lucky that the young lady inside was not seriously hurt," said Mr Edwards.
The driver of the van, a 36-year-old Nuneaton man, was treated at the scene for minor abrasions to his head and hand.
