POLICE are asking for information after a driver asked a young girl if she wanted a lift.
The driver wound down the passenger window of his car and asked the 11-year-old girl several times if he could take her home.
It happened just before 5pm on Friday, December 15, in a service road off Stratford Road, Bromsgrove.
The man was described as white, aged 30 to 35, with a deep voice and local accent.
The vehicle was a people carrier, a Ford Galaxy or similar, dark blue or black in colour, with two roof bars.
A police spokesman said: "This is being treated as a suspicious incident.
"No attempt was made to force the girl into the car.
"However, with schools about to break-up for the Christmas holiday, it may be a good idea for parents to discuss stranger danger with their children and remind them never to accept a lift from someone they do not know."
Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact Bromsgrove police on 08457 444888 or ring Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
