THE Worcester News will be holding its own festive celebration tonight.
All seats have been taken for the annual traditional Christmas carol service at Worcester Cathedral.
The packed congregation will sing a host of festive favourites including Once in Royal David's City, Ding Dong Merrily on High, Silent Night and O Come All Ye Faithful and will be entertained by the Cathedral choir.
They will hear readings by Robert Smith, regional finance director of Newsquest (Midlands South) Ltd; the Mayor of Worcester Councillor Ian Imray and Stewart Gilbert, editor of the Worcester News.
Canon Professor Michael Clarke will welcome the congregation and receive a blessing from the Revd Canon David Stanton. Proceeds from the collection will be donated to The Worcester Appeal for Music and Light.
