THREE cars went up in flames on a home improvement store’s car park.
A silver BMW, red Toyota Yaris and another unknown car were well alight when the fire service received multiple calls from people at around 5.26pm last night.
One fire engine attended the B&Q store car park in Spring Lane, Malvern, and managed to get the fires under control. They were confirmed to be out and the area made safe by 6.30pm.
The police also attended. Last night the cause of the fires was not yet known.
A member of staff at the Texaco petrol station, in Worcester Road, opposite the DIY store, said they could see the cars on fire and had heard rumours youths may have been involved.
She said although she could not see what the third car was, she could see the tyres had been 'popped' on the Yaris.
A spokesman for B&Q declined to comment.
