A ONE-OFF ball which was aimed at raising money for both a charity and a Worcester school has produced £1,000.
Flyford Flavell First School and Acorns are now set to benefit - after the organisers behind it decided to split the cash between each.
The parents association, which tries to raise money for the school, said the event was a "big success".
Katie Ingram, chairman of the group, said: "Nearly 80 people turned up to the ball and everyone had a good night. We had an auction and were giving away things such as cricket tickets, cinema tickets, a karaoke machines and a fridge, to name just some.
"We had a disco and a band and it was a really good night. The school head Debbie Yarnold turned up, as well as lots of other people associated with it.
"We decided to split the money, so it benefits the school as well as a charity."
The Flyford Flavell First School parents association puts on events throughout the year to try to raise funds for the school.
The school is based in Radford Road, Flyford Flavell.
