SKATERS showed off their skills over ramps and jumps at an inline skating competition.
More than 150 youngsters skated at the 4th Dimension Skate Park, Orchard Street, Worcester, on Saturday. The event was organised by skaters Mike Gogerty and Tom Downes.
Bertie Saunders, aged 10, from Worcester, won the under 14s category, with Clint Webbe, 12, and Tom Hughes, 12, coming second and third respectively. Charlotte Barry won first place among the girls taking part in the category. In the 18s and under category, Ashley Topham came first, with Tom O'Keefe in second place and Liam Pennell third.
An open category was won by Ed Brown, from Leicester, with Nick Bentley, from Malvern, in second place and Phil Roberts in third. The winners went home with prizes such as T-shirts, wheels and DVDs donated by skating companies.
Visitors were treated to demonstrations from professional skater Guy Crawford and professional and semi-professional members of the BHC team.
George Fraser-Barker, who manages the park, said: "It was a good day, especially as it was the first competition we have held since we turned the park from a private company into a charity."
The park is part of the 4th Dimension Youth and Community charity for youngsters.
