AN eight-year-old boy suffered a fractured pelvis and broken leg in a road traffic collision in Kidderminster.

The boy was riding a scooter along Biset Avenue, Kidderminster, and collided with a Ford Transit van at the junction with Queen Elizabeth Road yesterday at 2.10pm.

The child, who is from the area, was taken to Birmingham Children’s Hospital by air ambulance and his condition is described as serious but stable.

The van driver was not injured and has been spoken to by officers.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to call 101 and ask for Sergeant Steve Hastie.
