THE music of one of the jazz greats will come to life when Kinda Dukish take to the stage at the Norbury Theatre, Droitwich.
The 15-piece big band was formed specifically to play the compositions of the Washington DC-born jazz legend Duke Ellington.
The musician's legacy includes more than 1,500 compositions, including Mood Indigo, Black and Tan Fantasy, In a Mellotone, Ko-Ko, Cottontail, Caravan and Harlem Air Shaft.
Birmingham-based Kinda Dukish, who play original transcriptions from the Cotton Club era up to the 70s, are at the Norbury tomorrow night.
The event is part of the venue's Jazz Spotlight series of concerts conceived and organised by pianist Simon Deeley. Tickets, priced £7.50, are available from the venue box office on 01905 770154.
