A CANDLELIT feast of carols will be performed at Malvern Theatres next Friday.
Following stunning sell-out performances of Purcell's The Fairy Queen at the Three Choirs Festival in 2005, Armonico Consort are making a welcome return to Worcestershire.
This atmospheric concert, featuring a programme of plainsong, mediaeval songs, traditional carols and seasonal readings, marks the perfect way to start the festive holiday.
The ensemble choir has a reputation for its euphoric performances and presenting both popular and lesser-known works in a way that makes the audiences feel part of a truly memorable musical experience.
As a result they often perform sell-out concerts in prestigous venues throughout the world.
In January they will perform the world premiere of The Magic Flute, a fairytale inspired mix of puppetry, circus skills, dance and laughter, at Warwick Arts Centre.
Carols by Candlelight is at Malvern Theatres, on Friday, December 22. Tickets, £12.50, are available from 01684 892 277 or www.malvern-theatres.co.uk
