A SUCCESSFUL first Ofsted inspection was among the achievements celebrated at a school open day.
The mayor of Malvern, Councillor Julian Roskams, was among those who attended the first open day at a school for special needs.
The Our Place School is both a residential home and learning facility for people aged 11 to 25 who suffer with severe learning disabilities.
There are currently five full-time residents and two respite residents, but Our Place has the capacity for one more full-time resident.
The school underwent its first Ofsted inspection in August and received a rating of ‘good.’ Coun Roskams said: “It was a great day and fantastic to see the superb facilities and very dedicated staff that work there.
“It is in a beautiful setting and delightful to see the children in the environment that they need.”
The mixed gender school, in Bransford, Worcester, was established in 2010.
