COFFEE cups were raised along with funds for Macmillan Cancer Support at Burlish Park Primary School in Stourport-upon-Severn.
Children in year two invited their family and friends to join them as they took part in the world’s biggest coffee morning.
They managed to raise more than £200 for the charity. Year two teacher Kerry Bryan said: “The children worked really hard designing posters, writing invitations and making decorations in preparation for the event.
“They thoroughly enjoyed themselves and demonstrated excellent sales skills.”
The event linked with the children’s happy and healthy topic. They are also learning all about Florence Nightingale and the work of nurses today.
