A PONY named Del Boy had to be rescued from Stourport Canal last night.
Firefighters were called to the canal at 8.18pm and used specialist animal rescue equipment to pull the pony from the water.
Three crews and the police worked to extricate a trap attached to the animal before then pulling it from the water.
A vet from Knightwick was also called to assist.
It took around two hours to get the 300kg animal from the canal.
