A SET of industrial pressure washers worth more than £8,000 was stolen from a Pershore business this week.
Thieves broke into Pressure Washer Sales and Services on Evesham Road, Fladbury, between 4.450pm on Monday, October 14 and 7.40pm the following day and stole the entire stock of nine washers and a small amount of cash.
About £500 of damage was also caused to the building and fencing.
It is thought the burglars drove through adjoining orchards and fields to reach the industrial unit and cut down wire fencing, removed sections of a wooden fence and forced a door to gain access.
Investigating officer Constable James Wood has appealed to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area to contact him.
“The washers are Karcher, Interpump and Ehrle makes and it’s likely the thieves will be trying to sell them on,” he said. “I am appealing for information and urging anyone offered such items in dubious circumstances, to contact Evesham police station by calling 101.
“People should not be tempted to buy property in suspicious circumstances as they could end up being charged with handling stolen goods.”
