POLICE in Worcester are appealing for witnesses following an indecent exposure in St John’s.
At around 7.30am on Saturday, October 12, a woman was walking through Mecco Alley – which runs between Greenacres Road, Dines Green, and the Bromyard Road area of St John's – when a man started to walk beside her.
The man spoke a few words to her and when she looked over at him, she noticed his trousers were undone and that he was exposing himself.
The woman then ran off towards Bromyard Road, St John's, leaving the man behind in the alley.
PC Neil Riley was investigating the incident. He said: “Understandably, the woman was left quite shaken by the incident and while this is being treated as an isolated incident, it’s important we find out who this man is.
“He is described as being white, short – around 5ft 1ins – in his early 20s, with short, black hair.
“Unusually for the time of year, he was wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt, either black or blue in colour and jeans.
“I am keen to hear from anyone who may recognise this man from the description given or who saw a man matching his description either enter or leave the alley on that day.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 141S 121013, or ring the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
