BLUE was the colour for a personal style consultant who took to the skies to raise £1,000 for St Richard’s Hospice.
Colour consultant Jane Brook, from Worcester, managed to complete a 10,000ft sky-dive despite being terrified of heights.
The 45-year-old, who is a colour analyst and personal style consultant, said she had been involved with lots of fund-raisers for the hospice but decided she wanted to something more challenging.
“I am scared of heights and avoid roller coasters so a skydive was right out of my comfort zone,” she said.
“It was an incredible experience but I don’t think I will be doing it again – unless I could raise £5,000 maybe.”
St Richard’s Hospice provides free specialist palliative care for patients living with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and supports their families.
Each year the hospice team supports more than 2,400 pat-ients and family members in Worcestershire.
St Richard’s has started work on redeveloping and extending the in-patient unit which will provide care for a third more patients.
